Heavy to Excessive Rainfall for the Southwest U.S.; Watching for Possible East Coast Storm

Thunderstorms and a chance for some isolated flash flooding will continue today in the Southwest U.S. before an influx of tropical moisture from Priscilla brings widespread heavy rainfall and a flash flooding threat late this week into this weekend. It will be a mild night with decreasing clouds. Lows will dip into the 60s across the Hill Country and upper 60s to around 70 for areas along and east of I-35. Winds will be light out of the east northeast.
The upcoming week brings warm afternoons ranging from the low to mid 80s across the Hill Country to the low 90s elsewhere and much cooler nights, with lows dropping into the 50s and low to mid 60s. Decreased humidity along with cloud cover, and minimal rain chances will be expected into early to middle of next week.
