Showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverage again along and ahead of a cold front Friday and Saturday. The threat for strong to severe storms will be highest late Friday into Friday night with an increasing threat for heavy rainfall late Friday night into Saturday morning. Additional rain amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected areawide, with isolated pockets of 3-3.5" possible across North TX.
Scattered showers and storms lingering from overnight will shift east and diminish in coverage this morning, ending around midday. It will be rainy for the morning commute, so take it slow on the roads! Skies will then become partly to mostly sunny this afternoon with warm and breezy conditons. Highs reach the 80s with southerly wind gusts around 20 to 30 mph.
After the front moves through Friday night and Saturday, cooler conditions will arrive and persist into next week. Easter Sunday will be mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 60s/low 70s, along with winds around 10 mph or less. Highs will remain in the upper 60s/low 70s through Tuesday with partly cloudy skies.
