A Heat Advisory is now in effect for portions of North and Central Texas until 7 PM Tuesday. Heat Index values up to 110 degrees will be possible within the advisory area. Please stay hydrated and take precautions to avoid heat related illnesses.
Another hot and humid day is expected on Tuesday, with many locations warming to 100-102 degrees. A Heat Advisory is in effect for portions of North and Central Texas through Tuesday evening, as heat index values will peak between 105 and 110 degrees in the advisory area. There will be a 20-30% chance of showers and storms in Central Texas. Severe weather is unlikely, but some storms could produce locally heavy rain, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. Ensure you practice heat safety, especially if spending time outdoors!
