| Effective deep layer wind shear (change of wind speed and direction). Values over 50 knots were supportive of mid-level updraft rotation. | Low-level (0-3 km) instability. Values near 50 J/kg sufficient for low-level updraft intensification. | Significant tornado parameter. Values near 0.5 indicate an airmass supportive of storm rotation and brief tornadoes. |
