Above Average Temperatures for the West and Central Plains; Lake Effect Snow Continues

Well above average temperatures will prevail across the Plains and the West Coast this week, while a cold front will bring Arctic air to the South and East Coast Thursday and Friday. Thru Nov 17th, 2018 is the 5th wettest year on record at the Jackson Weather Office, only 4.21" behind the wettest year (1989). With around 6 weeks until the end of the year, 2018 has plenty of time to climb the rankings. At least another 0.50" to 0.75" of precipitation is possible through the end of November. Meanwhile, Jackson December normal precipitation is 4.18"
