Showers, along with a few strong to severe thunderstorms, are expected from the Great Lakes, New England and southward into the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys. In the wake of this system, a stronger storm is expected to track from the Pacific Northwest, Plains and through the Eastern U.S. this weekend. The following NOAA All-Hazards Weather Radio Transmitter: * WWG-61 in Stanton KY / Frequency 162.550 MHz will undergo intermittent outages today while maintenance is performed on the tower. Alternative transmitters in the area include WWG63 in Frenchburg on a frequency of 162.475 MHz and WNG727 in Irvine on a frequency of 162.475 MHz. Full service will be restored once maintenance work is complete. We apologize for any inconvenience.
