Above Average Temperatures for Most Today; Winter Weather Returns to the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes

Well above average temperatures are forecast today into Wednesday over most of the lower 48 states away from the Gulf Coast. A storm system passing across southern Canada will bring a wintry mix to the upper Great Lakes today. The following NOAA All-Hazards Weather Radio Transmitter: * WWG-61 in Stanton KY / Frequency 162.550 MHz will undergo intermittent outages today while maintenance is performed on the tower. Alternative transmitters in the area include WWG63 in Frenchburg on a frequency of 162.475 MHz and WNG727 in Irvine on a frequency of 162.475 MHz. Full service will be restored once maintenance work is complete. We apologize for any inconvenience.
