Heavy Rain and Flooding Concerns in Hawaii; Severe Weather in the Plains

A storm system is expected to bring strong winds, widespread heavy rainfall, and flooding concerns to the Hawaiian Islands through the weekend. The Automated Flood Warning System (AFWS) website is experiencing a temporary outage. The AFWS collects and shares flood information from numerous sensors across several states. A fix has been identified which should be completed on or around January 24th, 2017. Until then there is an alternative site (link also available on the original site, https://preview-water.weather.gov/afws/index.php) that will have current data posted until the fix has been implemented. Please note that while not supported operationally, the alternative site will be monitored. We apologize for any inconvenience.
