Last Map Update: Sat, May 9, 2026 at 9:28:33 am CDT

A stalled frontal system, a very moist air mass, and a series of upper level disturbances will bring a wet period with the chance for heavy rainfall and flooding into the weekend.
Occasional showers and thunderstorms into the weekend will bring a potential for heavy rainfall and flooding.
The risk for severe weather will continue into Sunday. On going showers and thunderstorms this morning will have the potential for large hail and damaging wind gusts. Another wave of potential severe storms will occur Saturday afternoon into evening, and then Sunday afternoon into evening.
A frontal system will stall along the coast over the next couple of days. Meanwhile, a series of upper level disturbances will move across and interact with the frontal boundary and a very moist air mass to produce occasional waves of showers and thunderstorms into the weekend. Drier weather is expected early next week. Some of the storms will have the potential to produce high rainfall rates that may lead to street flooding.
Good chances for showers and thunderstorms over the coastal waters through Monday. Winds and seas over the weekend will be relatively light. Winds will become offshore and increase on Monday into Tuesday.
