Cooler temperatures are on tap today, especially across areas on the Caprock where cloud cover will be more abundant. Some showers and thunderstorms will be possible, too, mainly across areas to the west of a Tulia to Brownfield line.
Scattered rain showers will be possible tonight into Wednesday morning favoring areas on the caprock.
Scattered showers will favor areas on the caprock tonight through Wednesday morning. Cool temperatures will continue on Wednesday.
Temperatures will warm each day into this coming weekend. By the weekend temperatures will return to well above normal levels.

 

 

 

Local Weather History For October 7th...
1996: Beginning late this afternoon, severe storms pounded extreme southeast Briscoe, southwest Hall and northwest Motley
Counties before dissipating by early evening. Hailstones up to golf ball size caused extensive damage to mature cotton
crops. Some fields were stripped clean. Crop damages were estimated to be at least $150,000.
