Overview

An upper low approached from the west with an attendant cold front. Ahead of the cold front, wedging was in place initially and eventually retreated northeast, allowing a warm front and a pre-frontal trough to move into the area. Ample moisture and low level shear brought several rounds of severe weather, which resulted in 4 tornadoes. The worst damage was near Goode, VA in Bedford County, with an EF-2 tornado.
