.DISCUSSION...

A low over the Lower Mississippi Valley will track slowly
northeast into the Mid Atlantic region for Tuesday and 
Wednesday. This will result in a prolonged period of rain 
starting late today and early Monday. Heavy rain and flooding 
are possible for our area Monday through Tuesday night, 
especially along the Blue Ridge and the eastern foothills 
where rainfall amounts will be the highest.

upslope flow will lead to higher rainfall totals. 

Less widespread and more scattered showers are expected for 
Thursday and Friday.
