Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
204 PM EST Sat Feb 7 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Northwest winds will subside this evening. A clipper
may bring a light dusting of snow to portions of southwest
Virginia Sunday but overall mainly dry into early next week.
Temperatures moderate so snow and ice melt will commence.
We get into an active pattern from Wednesday into
next weekend, but low confidence on timing and the
potential for wintry weather by Thursday into Friday.
