Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
217 PM EDT Sun May 25 2025

.DISCUSSION...

The combination of low pressure approaching the region from the
Southern Plains states, and a frontal boundary heading north towards
our region and stalling, will keep rain in the forecast for much
of the workweek. Currently, the best coverage of showers and the
heaviest amounts of rain are expected Tuesday into Tuesday night.
Temperatures through the week will be below normal for this time
of year.
