Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
137 PM EDT Sun Sep 28 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Dry weather looks to continue for much of Monday; however, some
moisture being pulled north by TD9/potential Imelda looks to
push into the VA and NC Piedmont late on Monday. This will bring
chances for light to moderate rain showers to these areas
through Tuesday evening. High pressure overtakes the area by
early Wednesday morning ending rain chances through the
remainder of the work week. Given the recent rainfall, future
rainfall forecast, and significant cloud cover forecast through at
least Tuesday, there are currently no immediate fire weather
concerns across the area.
