Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
209 PM EST Wed Feb 18 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Rain chances return on Thursday and through the weekend, which
will only lead to a continued moist/saturated top soil and
adjacent ground fuels.

Overall, there are no fire weather concerns this week given the
points mentioned above, and any type of burning will be extremely
difficult given the saturated fuels and surface ground layer.
