.DISCUSSION...

Winds turn southerly through today, with increasing moisture across
the region, bringing minimum relative humidity values into the 40
to 55 percent range, with higher values over the southern Blue
Ridge. This is also where shower and storm chances are highest for
today/Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will see higher and more
widespread chances for showers and storms, mostly over the
mountains for Thursday, and much of the area for Friday. Dry
weather returns by Sunday, and temperatures increase to 5 to 10
degrees above seasonal normals early next week.
