Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
304 AM EDT Fri Jun 5 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Temperatures increase steadily into Saturday. Dry weather persists
areawide, with minimum RHs between 25% to 35% for most Piedmont
locations, and between 40% to 50% for some of the mountains over
the southern Blue Ridge and parts of southeast WV, through
Saturday afternoon. However, winds do remain light. A cold front
dips south into the region late Sunday, which will bring the next
opportunity for showers and thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts look
to be less than a third of an inch across the area.
