Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
415 AM EDT Mon Apr 27 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Dry weather is expected to linger through Monday before
additional showers and a few thunderstorms return to the forecast for
Tuesday and Wednesday as another cold front and low pressure
system pass through the region.

With increased rain chances and elevated RH values this week, the
threat for fire weather concerns has diminished across the area;
however, if a long spell of dry weather occurs across the area,
these concerns could return.
