Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA

.DISCUSSION...
A cold front is now located near the NC/SC border, allowing
cooler conditions across the region. An upper level disturbance
will head slowly southeast from the Ohio Valley towards, and
then across our region, keeping showers, and perhaps a few
storms, across our area. Locally heavy rain will be possible.

We dry out Tuesday into Thursday with temperatures warming back
above normal. Late next week, there is a potential for more
showers and storms Friday into the weekend but with temperatures
still on the warmer side of normal.
