Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
201 PM EST Sat Jan 10 2026

.DISCUSSION...
Rain will continue into Saturday evening and winds will pick up
Sunday. Significantly drier air enters the area as a cold front
pushes through which will result in relative humidity percentage
values in the 20s and 30s. With the rain ongoing, fire weather
concerns are low. Higher pressure will return early next week before
another round of precipitation is possible by the middle of next
week.
