National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
221 PM EDT Sat May 30 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions are forecast to persist through Sunday night as
high pressure remains in control of the weather pattern. Sunday
afternoon minimum relative humidity will remain above 30 percent
across the region, with surface winds holding below 10 mph. The
next chance for wetting rainfall will be Monday, more so across
northwest North Carolina, as a weak disturbance passes across
the region. Rainfall totals are forecast to remain less than a
quarter inch for most, but will be locally higher if any storms
develop.
