Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
107 PM EDT Wed May 7 2025

.DISCUSSION...
High pressure should keep conditions dry through tonight, but
clouds will increase as a cold front approaches to bring showers
and thunderstorms for Thursday evening into Friday. After the
frontal passage, high pressure should return to bring a drier
weekend. However, low pressure to the south will provide
increasing chances of rain by early next week. Fire weather
concerns for the next several days appear to be low.
