.DISCUSSION...

...Below Normal Temperatures Through Next Week...
...Light to Moderate Snow Possible Today and Saturday...
...Blowing and Drifting Snow Saturday Night and Sunday...

A winter storm will continue impacting the lower Mid-Atlantic
and southeast US through Saturday night. The highest
accumulations for our region will be along and south of
the VA/NC border.

Visit weather.gov/rnk/winter for the latest snowfall projections.

With Arctic air holding in place during the weekend, snow and
ice melt will be minimum to none during the and more weekend.
Temperatures will stay below normal into next week, so any
melting will be limited. Fire danger is expected to remain low
through the first full week of February. There is potential for
another round of a wintry mix of precipitation during the middle
of the week.
