Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
200 AM EST Mon Jan 12 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns should stay generally low for the next
few days due to widespread wetting rainfall from Saturday. High
pressure brings dry conditions through Tuesday. A low pressure
system will bring a chance of accumulating snow by late Wednesday
into Thursday. More mountain snow showers are possible by the
upcoming weekend.
