Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA

.DISCUSSION...

Dry weather is expected to last until Friday for much of the
area.

Temperatures will increase significantly, with 80s/90s to near
100 degrees by later this week for urban areas and the Piedmont.
Minimum RH values will fall into the 30s to 40s percent range for
portions of the area today through Friday. Due to high
pressure being overhead, winds are expected to remain light until
Saturday aside from some increased NE winds near 10 mph possible
Friday for part of the Piedmont. Friday looks to see an increased
chance of showers and storms mainly across the mountains then
becoming more widespread for the weekend.
