.DISCUSSION...

High pressure will continue to weaken today, allowing for warmer 
afternoon temperatures in the upper 70s to the mid 80s, and lower 
minimum relative humidity values in the 45 to 60 percent range. A 
disturbance arriving this evening is expected to trigger a broken 
line of showers and a few thunderstorms during the evening, which 
will pass across the Piedmont. Wetting rainfall totals ranging 
from less than 0.10 to locally 0.50 inch are possible. Winds 
today will remain mainly less than 10 mph. The next potential for 
widespread wetting rain will be late Monday night as a line of 
thunderstorms arrives from the north, and again on Tuesday, with 
the redevelopment of storms across the area.
