.DISCUSSION...

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will progress through the area
today, providing a chance for some rainfall across the region.
Some of these thunderstorms will be capable of producing strong
gusty winds that may blow down some trees across the area.
Areawide winds will also be elevated ahead of the frontal boundary
today that is producing these showers and thunderstorms. Moisture
is also expected to continue to increase today; however, as the
front passes the region, drier air will once again return to the
region. With this drier air in place, no precipitation is expected
through at least Wednesday, and minimum RH values will fall into
the 30s/40s across the region each day. By Thursday, moisture
returns back into the region with storm chances once again
increasing for the end of the work week.
