National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
309 AM EDT Fri Jul 10 2026

.DISCUSSION...
Seasonably warm and humid conditions expected through
the weekend with scattered afternoon and evening showers
and thunderstorms. Rainfall coverage will be hit and miss
with rainfall amounts generally a quarter inch or less.
There will be some localized amounts upwards of one inch
associated with the stronger thunderstorms. Isolated wind
damage is also possible.

Greater coverage of showers and thunderstorms is likely for the
weekend with the passage of a cold front. Somewhat drier
conditions follow the frontal passage for the beginning of next
week. After that, thing warm back up for the end of the week with
a return to at or above normal temperatures.
