Fire Weather Planning Forecast for SW VA...SE WV and NW NC
National Weather Service Blacksburg VA

.DISCUSSION...

Temperatures will stay above normal through Saturday.
Showers and thunderstorm chances return this afternoon and
evening and again on Saturday. Damaging winds and lightning look
to be the greatest threats, though isolated hail and heavy rain
are also possible. A frontal passage will bring drier weather and
lower temperatures to the area for early next week, before the
heat rebuilds over the region towards the middle of next week.
There are currently no fire weather concerns at this time across
the area.
