West Virginia residents are encouraged to prepare for the winter season as Gov. Jim Justice and the West Virginia Emergency Management Division (WVEMD), ReadyWV!, in collaboration with the NOAA/National Weather Service (NWS), announce West Virginia’s Winter Weather Awareness Week, taking place from November 18 to 22, 2024.

Winter weather preparedness involves three steps:
