Severe Thunderstorms in the Eastern U.S.; Flash Flooding Possible in the Southwest U.S.

Scattered thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and isolated large hail are expected across parts of the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys into the central Appalachians Friday. Across the southwest US, 1 to 2 inches of rain, with isolated totals up to 4 inches, are expected across portions of Arizona and New Mexico through Saturday, bringing the potential for flash flooding.
