Well above normal temperatures are forecast to shift from the northern Plains through the Northeast U.S. over the long holiday weekend. A few strong to severe thunderstorm will be possible as well along with a potential for excessive rainfall. Summary:

A tornado touched down along FM 1251 breaking large branches there and moved northeast where it crossed CR 237. It uprooted a few trees and broke large branches there before moving to the east-northeast where it crossed CR 241. The tornado did the most damage here where it uprooted several trees and snapped several large branches. The tornado moved to the northeast and intersected an unnamed mining road where it knocked down some large branches before lifting.
