A few strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon, starting along the coast and I-75 corridor and spreading inland and westward. The strongest storms could produce strong wind gusts of 40-60 mph, locally heavy downpours, and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning.
A Heat Advisory is in effect for Monday afternoon for southeast Alabama, far southwest Georgia, and the Florida Panhandle and western Big Bend.. Heat index values in these areas could reach 105-112 degrees. Stay hydrated, consider canceling outdoor activities during the heat of the day, use AC if you have it, stay in a cool place, and check on elderly, kids, and pets.
