Strong thunderstorms are expected on Saturday and Saturday evening, with isolated severe storms possible. The main concern will be isolated damaging wind gusts of 40-60 mph. Make sure your outdoor plans on Saturday include a way to get to safety if storms approach.
A sharp cold front will pass the region on Saturday night. Until the front passes, unseasonably warm temperatures will continue. Fog will be a concern, especially near the coast. In advance of the front on Saturday, isolated severe thunderstorms are possible. Following the front on Sunday, strong northerly breezes will bring a much colder air mass across the region. Hazardous marine and beach conditions are forecast this weekend. Temperatures on Monday will run about 20-30 degrees colder than on Saturday. Tuesday morning will start with widespread frost and freezing temperatures.
