A cluster of organized thunderstorms is forecast to reach the Alabama Wiregrass Region this evening and pose a dual threat for strong-damaging winds and large hail. The window is likely to be brief (approximately 3-4 hrs) as the storm cluster is expected to gradually weaken with eastward extent. The overall estimated storm timing is 5PM CT/6PM ET to 9PM CT/10PM ET. Times are subject to change.
Another potential round of severe weather is on tap for Southeast AL and portions of the FL Panhandle Wednesday night thanks to an approaching cold front that sags towards the northern Gulf coast. The main threats would be isolated strong-damaging gusts and large hail.
