Overnight storm complexes will push farther south into North and Central Texas starting Saturday night. Some storms may be strong to severe with primarily a damaging wind and hail threat. Remember to stay weather aware, especially if you have outdoor plans this weekend.
Hot and muggy conditions expected both Friday and Saturday with low storm chances along the Red River each morning. High temperatures will climb into the low to mid 90s and heat index values will peak in the upper 90s to lower 100s.
A weak front and multiple opportunities for rain will bring more seasonable temperatures to the region next week. The potential for strong to severe storms will also hang around at least through the midweek period.
