We will finally see upper-level ridging and surface high pressure dominate across our region for the foreseeable future. Across North Texas (including DFW), temperatures will be near or just slightly above average with highs in the 90s. Further south across Central Texas (including Waco), temperatures will still be slightly below average owing to the surface moisture left over from heavy rains earlier in the month. Regardless of the exact temperatures in the afternoon, all will have plentiful sun with no rain expected through next week. One thing to be cautious of; however, will be the heat indices. When considering the humidity as well, peak heat indices may climb into the upper 100s, particularly during next work week. Stay cool, stay safe, and enjoy the summer weather!
