Additional scattered storms are expected to develop near and south of the I-20 corridor this afternoon and evening. There is a better chance for severe storms, capable mainly of large hail and damaging winds.
A complex of storms is expected move south across eastern portions of North and Central Texas this morning. There will be an isolated threat for damaging wind gusts, along with small hail and frequent lightning.
A few rounds of strong or severe storms are expected from late Tuesday through Thursday. The highest chances will be in western North Texas near a dryline and stalled front. Hail, damaging winds, and flooding will be the main hazards with all storms through the midweek period.
Daily storm chances are forecast to continue through this next weekend. Some storms could become severe, but the exact risk is uncertain at this time. High temperatures will be near or slightly below normal, mostly in the 80s and lower 90s, with warm and humid overnights.
