Severe thunderstorms are possible across Central Alabama this afternoon and evening. The strongest storms will be capable of damaging winds, large hail, and a few brief tornadoes.
Breezy and mild conditions are expected with showers and thunderstorms move in ahead of and along a front. Some storms may be strong to severe. Daytime high temperatures will range from the middle 70s to the lower 80s.
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly during the evening, are expected across generally the southeast half of Central Alabama along and ahead of a front. Some storms could become strong to severe this evening. Activity is expected to move out of the area during the late night hours. Overnight low temperatures will vary greatly due to the frontal passage ranging from the upper 30s across the far northwest to the lower 50s across the far southeast.
On Thursday, conditions will be cooler behind the front with breezy northerly winds. Clouds will be clearing from northwest to southeast during the day becoming sunny area wide by late in the afternoon. Daytime high temperatures will range from the upper 50s to the lower 60s.
