Widespread showers and storms are expected Sunday into Monday. Most likely rain totals are 1 to 3 inches, although locally higher amounts are possible. Uncertainty remains on what areas could see the heaviest rainfall or any potential flooding. Stay weather aware early next week, especially if you are in a flood prone area!
Showers and storms will be ongoing at the start of Monday morning, shifting east throughout the day. Activity should exit the area in the evening hours. We are monitoring the low potential for a few stronger storms, as well as a continued threat for locally heavy rain. Additional details will be refined over the weekend!
Scattered showers & storms return mainly out west Sunday, with more widespread coverage in the evening and overnight. There is a low potential for severe storms in the afternoon and evening for areas west of I-35, with mainly a threat for hail. The heavy rain threat will increase late evening and overnight.
A weak front moves through the region tonight, with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s. Winds will shift to the north behind the front with speeds less than 10 mph. Tomorrow, it will be mostly sunny and pleasant with highs climbing into the mid 60s/low 70s.
Temperatures are favored to be cooler than normal late this week, with no rain expected Tuesday through Friday. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s Wednesday through the end of the week, with overnight lows in the upper 30s to mid 40s.
