Tracking Weekend Storm Impacts

A storm and trailing cold front will continue to slowly move through the Gulf Coast and Southeast U.S. through this weekend with widespread rain showers and isolated thunderstorms. Some snow and a wintry mix is occurring today to the north. Cloudy skies will result in another chilly day across much of the region, with high temperatures mostly in the 50s. Cloud cover will be a bit thinner across western North Texas, allowing temperatures to warm into the low to mid 60s. Patchy fog is expected to develop north of the I-20 corridor late tonight into early Saturday morning. Overnight lows will fall into the mid 30s to low 40s.
Mild and rain-free weather will continue this weekend into next week. A cold front on Sunday will bring another shot of cooler air to the region Sunday and Monday, followed by a warming trend through the middle of next week.
