Heavy Rain in the Southern U.S.; Winter Storm to Impact the Northern Mid-Atlantic and Interior Northeast

A storm system stretching from the Tennessee Valley to the Gulf Coast will bring a variety of hazards to the Eastern U.S. through Tuesday. A brief warm up will occur through midweek before the next cold front arrives bringing cooler air and scattered rain chances to the region late Wednesday through Friday.
A cold front will push through the region late Wednesday, bringing cooler air and increasing rain chances through the end of the week. Temperatures are expected to remain above freezing while precipitation is falling.
The cold temperatures will stay with us for a couple of days. Continue to practice cold weather precautions and don't forget your pets! Dress with layers if you're heading out of the door in the morning.
November 2025 finished among the warmest Novembers on record at both DFW and Waco in terms of average temperature. DFW tied for 4th place while Waco finished in 2nd place.
