Storm systems will track to the south of Arkansas Wednesday night, and will bring chances of light precipitation. The systems will be followed by a large area of high pressure from the Plains on Thursday. The high will bring well below average temperatures.
An Arctic cold front will move through Wednesday/Thursday bringing much colder air across Arkansas. Temperatures Thursday and Friday will top out in the 20s and 30s with overnight lows Thursday night in the teens to lower 20s. Some light snow is expected in north central and northwest sections of the state Wednesday evening, with little or no accumulation. Monitor the latest forecasts for updates.
Wind Chill Values will be the coldest so far this season with single digits over Northwest Arkansas nd lower teens across the northern third of the state.
