Showers, associated with a warm front, will move through mainly central and southern Arkansas today. The chances for showers will diminish this afternoon as an upper level disturbance moves east out of the state. Highs today will be in the low 60s to low 70s.
Lows tonight will be in the mid 50s to mid 60s...with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
With the potential for severe weather in the forecast, here is a refresher of the various severe thunderstorm risk categories that are issued by the Storm Prediction Center.
Our next Skywarn spotter training class is scheduled for this Tuesday, February 28th at 6:00 pm in Jasper, AR (Newton County). The class is free and open to the public.
