The combination of dry fuels, low relative humidity and gusty winds will lead to elevated fire danger this afternoon in areas along and northwest of the Natchez Trace corridor while limited fire danger to the southeast. Open burning is discouraged in for areas in the northwest while extra caution is advised with open burning to the southeast.
Temperatures will be warmer than normal through next Tuesday.
Greatest chance for rain is Thursday into Friday with the next low pressure system to affect the region. Low rain chances are expected Sunday afternoon through next Tuesday.
