Organized severe thunderstorms will likely cross the area tonight, especially over central, northern and western portions of the area. The primary severe weather hazard concerns will be damaging wind gusts and tornadoes along with hail up to quarter size.
Storms will continue over central and eastern portions of the area today, and they may re-intensify to near severe levels during the late morning through afternoon hours. The primary severe weather hazard concerns will be for damaging wind gusts and hail up to quarter size while a tornado can't be ruled out.
Localized flash flooding will be a concern late this evening through early Tuesday morning due to heavy rain of one to three inches in a short duration. This could lead to localized flash flooding, particularly in low lying and urban areas.
