Temperatures are expected to quickly rebound following Friday's cold front, with a chance to break records again on Sunday. Forecasted highs are currently in the upper 80s to low 90s, which would easily surpass the standing record for that day.

The persistent heat continues, with Monday's expected highs again reaching the upper 80s to mid-90s. These hot temperatures, unfortunately, threaten to break record highs once again. However, potential for cooler weather follows, as another cold front is anticipated to move in on Tuesday.

A pattern shift may finally be on the way as a new system and cold front are expected to push across the Panhandles sometime Tuesday night. Behind this front, chances of rain showers keep growing with best chances currently Wednesday night into Thursday. However, these showers are trending light with odds of seeing more than a fourth of an inch only 10 to 25%. There is still some uncertainty, so make sure to check back with us for more updates.

Heat returns to the panhandles starting on Saturday with near to record temperatures forecasted for Sunday and Monday. Plan accordingly for the heat to prevent heat illness.
