Increased Chances of Rain for the Mid-Week
Increasing upper-level moisture associated with the increasing clouds may attempt to produce some showers, maybe even thunderstorms in the SE TX Panhandle late in the day tomorrow. However, dry lower atmospheric levels are expected to prevent most moisture from reaching the ground. Should isolated showers manage to develop, the potential for evaporating moisture as it falls could create a localized wind threat.

The persistent heat continues, with Monday's expected highs again reaching the upper 80s to mid-90s. These hot temperatures, unfortunately, threaten to break record highs once again. However, potential for cooler weather follows, as another cold front is anticipated to move in on Tuesday.

A pattern shift may finally be on the way as a new system and cold front are expected to push across the Panhandles sometime Tuesday night. Behind this front, chances of rain showers keep growing with best chances currently Wednesday night into Thursday. However, these showers are trending light with odds of seeing more than a fourth of an inch only 10 to 25%. There is still some uncertainty, so make sure to check back with us for more updates.
