Well above normal temperatures are forecast to shift from the northern Plains through the Northeast U.S. over the long holiday weekend. A few strong to severe thunderstorm will be possible as well along with a potential for excessive rainfall. Looking ahead to this Holiday weekend, we are looking at temperatures warming up into the 90s. Yes, it is July, but we are expecting humidity to accompany these temperatures which will make it feel 3 to 6 degrees hotter. Otherwise, there continues to be daily storm chances which is mostly focused on the afternoon and evening hours.
