Extreme Heat and Tropical Storm Bertha Impacts

Dangerous heat will expand from the Gulf Coast into the Southern Plains and Desert Southwest through week's end. Additional extreme heat impacting the Pacific Northwest will shift to the northern Plains by the weekend. ...NWS Caribou Frost/Freeze Program Ends for the Season...

The NWS Caribou frost/freeze program has ended for the season as
of October 21, 2023. Beyond this date, frost and hard freezes are
climatologically expected for all forecast areas and will not be
specifically mentioned in the forecast text. Frost advisories and
freeze warnings will also no longer be issued for this season. The
program will return in spring 2024.
