Enjoy some summer heat! Expecting some rising humidity as we head through the rest of the week! Today will be mostly dry and very warm, with widespread highs climbing into the mid-to-upper 80s across inland areas. If you want to beat the heat, heading toward the coast is your best bet, where a pleasant sea breeze will keep temperatures much cooler in the 60s and 70s. Cannot rule out an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon in the Eastern St. John Valley between Frenchville and Hamlin. Showers will develop tonight across the Central Highlands and Downeast this evening. Each night expect patchy to areas of fog to develop. As we move into Thursday, expect the mugginess to noticeably increase, with afternoon temperatures even peaking near 90°F across the northernmost parts of the region. While most of the workweek remains dry with only a few isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms Thursday afternoon near the Moosehead Region. Showers and possible thunderstorms Friday night into Saturday. Another round possible Sunday. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and enjoy the sunshine! For NWS Heat Safety Tips Visit www.weather.gov/heat
