New Optional Way to Submit Observations of Rain vs Snow

* You can help drive forward the science on winter storms. When it comes to the “grey area” between rain and snow, people are often better than technology at differentiating what is falling from the sky, especially in regions like ours where it is especially challenging. To improve these technologies, send real-time observations of winter precipitation to Mountain Rain or Snow using your phone. In addition to contributing to research, we at NWS Caribou can see the observations you submit, and use these in real-time to tweak the forecast.
