A line of storms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and possibly a tornado will accompany a cold front crossing the forecast area Sunday night. There may be adjustments in risk areas and timing as we lead up to the event so please keep up with the latest outlooks.
Strong and gusty southerly winds will develop Sunday ahead of an approaching cold frontm especially over the ArkLaMiss Delta region where a wind advisory is in effect. Following the cold front Sunday night, expect wind to shift to northwesterly and maintain intensity as we go through Monday.
Much colder air will be moving in for early next week. Confidence has increased that there will be a significant freeze Monday night resulting in damage to unprotected vegetation, including early season fruit crops.
