Isolated severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts up to 60mph and hail up to quarter size are possible Wednesday evening into the overnight hours for portions of extreme southeast Arkansas and portions of northeast Louisiana and northwest Mississippi.
Increasing temperatures and humidity will result in dangerous heat stress by the end of this week, with heat index readings in the 105 to 110 F range across much of the area Friday into early next week. Remember to stay hydrated and take extra precautions if you will be spending a prolonged amount of time outdoors. Make sure relatives, neighbors and pets have a cool place to stay.
