Along and in the wake of a strong cold front, gusty winds will develop across whole area starting this evening through Monday morning, with the onset of highest wind gusts northwest of the Natchez Trace this evening and persisting through around daybreak Monday. Downed trees and powerlines are possible due to sustained winds of 20-25 mph and wind gusts around 40mph while slightly decreased wind gusts elsewhere. Travel may be difficult for high profile vehicles.
Wind advisory is currently in effect, with the onset this evening at 8PM and persisting through around 6AM Monday. Unseasonably warm and humid weather will continue until a cold front pushes across the area tonight bringing rain showers. Rainfall amounts will be generally light. It will turn much colder behind the front with low temperatures in the lower and middle 20s possible by Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
