Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Across the Ohio Valley;

Severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts will be possible from the mid-Mississippi Valley into parts of the Ohio Valley and central Appalachians. Heavy rain associated with these storms may lead to considerable flash and urban flooding impacts across portions of the Ohio Valley. WYMT has been an exemplary ambassador for NWS Jackson, KY over the years. When COVID hit, the WYMT weather team stepped up to the plate to help us continue to carry out our initiatives. They co-conducted virtual spotter trainings with us, advertised trainings on our behalf, and promoted weather safety in coordination with our NWS safety week/campaigns. They have also included us annually on their Questions and Answers program, helping us to reach a wide audience for weather and safety topics. We are thankful for their partnership everyday!
