Life-Threatening Flash Flooding in South Central Texas; Heat Continues from the Northern Plains to the Mid-Atlantic

Life-threatening and locally catastrophic flash and urban flooding is expected across portions of south-central Texas through early Friday, with significant river flooding and rapid rises on small streams, arroyos, and typically dry washes expected. The Flash Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of east central,
northeast, south central, and southeast Kentucky, including the
following areas, in east central Kentucky, Bath, Elliott, Estill,
Fleming, Menifee, Montgomery, Powell and Rowan. In northeast
Kentucky, Johnson and Martin. In south central Kentucky, Laurel,
McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne and Whitley. In southeast
Kentucky, Bell, Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Knott,
Knox, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike
and Wolfe.

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to
heed remaining road closures.
