  • The 92° at Rockford tied a record high temperature for May 14th, and the first 90°+ temperature since Sept 5, 2012.
  • The 91° at Chicago was the first 90° temperature since Sept 4, 2012.
  • This was the largest one-day temperature change in the month of May on record for both Rockford (59°) and Chicago (54°).
  • In the past decade, only 2010 had an earlier first 90° day in Rockford and Chicago (May 10th).

CHICAGO WAS 91 DEGREES. THIS IS AFTER THE MORNING LOW TEMPERATURE
YESTERDAY...MAY 12 2013...WAS 33 DEGREES IN ROCKFORD AND 36
