A strong coastal storm will bring moderate to major coastal flooding, strong winds, heavy rainfall and high surf to the Mid-Atlantic and New England. Tropical Storm Nolo is expected to strengthen into a hurricane today as it moves north toward the Big Island of Hawaii. KXI86 Crescent City, 162.500 MHz

NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio station KXI-86 serves portions of northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana, including Iroquois County and surrounding areas, from a 300 Watt transmitter in Crescent City, Illinois. The nominal effective range of the transmitter is about 40 miles. Continuous 24 hour programming is provided from the National Weather Service Chicago Forecast Office, located southwest of Chicago in Romeoville Illinois.
