Flood Dangers

 

Although most flood injuries and fatalities occur in vehicles, the threat from flood waters should not be under-estimated in any situation.

  • 12 inches of moving water can float a car
  • 6 inches of moving water can knock a person off their feet
  • When encountering flooded roadways, find an alternate route - turn around don't drown!
