October 2015 was warmer than normal and drier than normal for most of the area. The monthly average temperature ranged from 1 to 3 degrees above normal across the area and precipitation percentage of normal was lowest in a corridor generally from east central Illinois to northwest Indiana. The first three weeks of October were extremely dry, but the last week featured well above normal rainfall.
