Extreme Heat and Excessive Rainfall This Week

A significant heat wave is underway for the Intermountain West, Northern Plains, and Upper Great Lakes, peaking in intensity through midweek and lingering across parts of the Northern Plains and Midwest until this weekend. The data in the table below shows official snowfall observations, which are taken every 6 hours, going back over the past 48 hours. The most recent observations are on the left. New data generally updates by around 6:30 AM/PM CST (7:30 AM/PM CDT) and 12:30 AM/PM CST (1:30 AM/PM CDT).

A measurement denoted as 'T' indicates that a trace of snowfall was recorded, which signifies that snow fell, but did not accumulate during the corresponding 6-hour observation period. Note: Only the previous 48 hours of observations are available on this page.
